E-Skin Sensors: Piezoresistive E-Skin Sensors Produced with Laser Engraved Molds

In article number 1800182, Rui Igreja and co-workers develop a strategy for the microstructuration of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) films into micro-cones using a laser engraving/cutting machine, and covered them with a carbon ink. The films are used for a micro-structured electronic skin pressure sensor placed on a human wrist for the detection of the blood pressure wave, exhibiting great potential for health applications.
